The Avenue section contains background information, a history and map of the Soldiers Memorial Avenue as well as history, information and geography about the Queens Domain. Originally inaugurated as the Soldiers Memorial Avenue, in recent years popular usage had it as Soldiers Walk.

The Soldiers section has a searchable database of detailed information about the soldiers who are commemorated there. For many soldiers this includes a photograph and, where available, the Red Cross Wounded and Missing Enquiry Bureau file. These are provided by arrangement with the Australian War Memorial. Some files may include material which could be distressing.

A fact page highlights points of interest about the group of commemorated soldiers.

The Gallery section has images, past and present that relate to the Avenue. They are divided into themed galleries, namely:

The Links section has links to Australian and international sites where more information can be found about the soldiers, the Great War and other Avenues of Honour.

The Organisation section is about the present day efforts by the Friends of the Soldiers Memorial Avenue Inc to restore this important piece of history. You can contact us for more information or to join the restoration efforts.
