The ceremony of tree planting in commemoration of Bagdad residents who have joined the AIF took place recently.  A large number assisted with the work.  Twenty-five pine trees were planted on the main road at Upper Bagdad, under the supervision of Councillor H Blake.  Substantial guards have been erected to protect the young trees.  Afternoon tea was provided for the volunteer workers by the ladies of the Bagdad Red Cross
